New Member Orientation
Baptism
Normally, we make new
disciples each month at Epiphany through the waters of Holy Baptism on the
second Sunday of each month at Sunday morning worship. However, for April,
we’ll celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism at our Easter Vigil Service,
Saturday, April 14 at 7.30 PM. This honors the ancient practice of
training new disciples throughout Lent and then welcoming them into the
faith the Eve of the Resurrection. This will be a rich, wonderful service
that commences in our gym for lessons and candlelight and then proceeds to
the sanctuary for baptism and Eucharist. Please call the office to make
baptismal arrangements |
If you are interested in Christian baptism. please call the church office
(937.433.1449) for more information. Baptism is highlighted the second Sunday of each month of
the year at Epiphany.
For each baptismal event, there is a 1-hour “orientation” the preceding
Saturday from
1 — 2:00 p.m. Here you will have a chance to discuss with the Pastor the details of
baptismal life, the ritual, and get to know others in your baptismal party. Baptisms should be scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance.
